Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at VCA University Veterinary Clinic in Fairfax, VA. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring.
- Perform physical examinations and patient assessments, and provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients.
- Participate in surgical preparation and assisting, dentistry, laboratory work, and pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, and provide education and support to clients.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, and maintain a clean and safe working area.
