Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Medicine Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Concentra Medical Centers. This role will provide technical assistance in the rehabilitation process, working closely with licensed Physical Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
  • Provide technical assistance in the rehabilitation process, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans according to established guidelines
  • Communicate with patients, providers, and other staff members to ensure effective care coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Assist with training and development of new staff members

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the work state
  • Previous experience in an orthopedic setting with use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and isokinetic equipment
  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic and critical thinking
  • Outstanding customer service skills and ability to deal with people tactfully and professionally
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information accordingly
  • Minimal travel required (up to 10%)

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
