- CA Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (updated every 2 years)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Telemetry and Medical-Surgical nursing is required.
- Willingness to float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Must possess the ability to interpret cardiac strips.
- Experience should align with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in a Med-Surg setting.
- References should reflect a rating of 4-5.
- Competencies must meet the standards for medical-surgical and telemetry patient care, rated 3 or higher.
- Ability to work effectively in a Telemetry environment is essential.
- Required skills in Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, both on-unit and remote.
- Proficient in Cardiovascular care, including Post Cardiac Angiogram and Pre/Post Cardiac procedures.
- IV Therapy and Phlebotomy skills are mandatory.
- Knowledge of Blood Product Administration and Central Line management is required.
- Medication management skills, including Heparin and Vasoactive drips, are necessary.
- Respiratory care skills, including management of ventilated patients and tracheostomy care, are essential.
- Average patient census: 36.
- Room capacity: 36 beds.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5.
- Every other weekend coverage is required.
- No on-call duty is expected.
- Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
- Patient demographic: Adolescents to Geriatrics.
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be included in the submission.
- No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
- Once RTO is submitted, changes can only be made to cancel time requested.
- Government-issued photo ID is necessary.
- Emergency Contact Form must be completed.
- Flexibility to float to other Med-Surg and Telemetry units is expected.
- First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.
