Key Responsibilities:- Assess existing electrical and industrial control systems and processes, and lead design efforts for new electrical and industrial control systems related to the production of energetic materials.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage third-party equipment suppliers knowledgeable in processing inert and energetic materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, operations, maintenance, and EH&S, to design and execute projects.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for facility upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, considering factors such as process safety, efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical expertise and support for design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and industrial control systems.
- Design and implement preventive maintenance programs and standard operating procedures for new and existing equipment to ensure optimal safety, reliability, and longevity.
- Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for electrical and industrial control system projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in electrical and industrial control systems engineering with a focus on industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, industrial control system design, process equipment, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in electrical design software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks Electrical or similar) and familiarity with industrial control systems and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ASHRAE.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
