Nurse Practitioner

Key Responsibilities* Provides general nursing care to patients and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards* Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials and prepares list of medical supplies needed* Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations and greets patients and prepares them for physician examination* Screens patients for appropriate information and instructs patients in collection of samples and tests* Maintains/reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information and posts tests and examination results* Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls and instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions* Maintains patient confidentiality and performs other duties as assigned
