Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnostic imaging process, working in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting to perform a variety of CT Scan imaging procedures. This position requires the ability to operate CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care appropriate to the patient's condition and age
  • Determine the most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordingly
  • Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff as needed
  • Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures
  • Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures
  • Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department
  • Complete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each case
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging
  • One year of experience in performing CT preferred
  • Florida State DOH General Radiographer and ARRT CT Registry or registry eligible and acquire within six months of hire
