About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI). As a Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting the Home Study (HS) and Post Release Services (PRS) department, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate clinical case management services to unaccompanied children with significant needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry a caseload of 8 to 10 EPRS cases and provide individualized needs assessments with unaccompanied children and sponsors.
  • Develop case plans with particular attention to culture, language, and special circumstances.
  • Assess the safety and appropriateness of the placement on an ongoing basis using child welfare principles and social work best practices.
  • Build a network of local pro bono legal resources and service providers to facilitate access for unaccompanied children and sponsors.
  • Coordinate and maintain communication with key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science.
  • At least three years' progressive experience, graduate level licensure (LMSW/LGSW) is preferred.
  • Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, behavioral health counseling, and social service provision is preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-responsive service provision and crisis intervention skills.
