Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the Early Head Start curriculum, assessment, and Head Start Performance Standards for Early Head Start classrooms.
  • Prepare daily lesson plans in advance that include both indoor and outdoor activities, are individualized and based on the infants/toddlers own needs, interests, schedules, and include multicultural education materials and activities, family-style meals, and other elements as appropriate.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Two years of experience working with families and young children is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to cope with stress and multitask is necessary.
  • Physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs, is a requirement of this position.
