Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Transportation Specialist with Sealy Independent School District, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of students on assigned routes. This role requires a valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License with P and S Endorsements, as well as the ability to pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a school bus to transport students and other authorized personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.
Follow assigned routes and adhere to established schedules.
Check the bus for mechanical defects before and after each operation and notify the supervisor of needed repairs.
Report all accidents, vehicle damage, student injuries, and mechanical failures, and complete required reports.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License with P and S Endorsements.
Ability to pass a background check and maintain a clean driving record.
Ability to work irregular hours as needed.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working outside and inside, with moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes. The ability to maintain emotional control and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
