Huntington Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care to meet identified needs, utilizing critical thinking and nursing process.
- Supervise the management of patient care, including discharge planning, resource identification, and scheduling patients with required services.
- Monitor care delivery, advocate for the patient, and evaluate outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Transfer patients to the appropriate department, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years.
- Minimum 1 year of current experience in acute care area of expertise/equivalent service area, 2 years preferred.
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS) certifications.
- Current unrestricted Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or related certification.
- Additional Unit Specific Essential Functions, including proficiency in delivering care utilizing advanced knowledge base of Cardiovascular, Neuro, Respiratory, and Metabolic issues.
