Educator - Science Specialist

Pace is seeking a dedicated and passionate Educator - Science Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our academic staff, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of girls through our academic and counseling programs.

• Curriculum and Instruction
  • Design and align instruction according to state standards to ensure girls receive a high-quality education.
  • Use formal and informal assessment to monitor progress and plan instruction to meet girls' individual needs.
  • Plan for effective classroom instruction by utilizing innovative, appropriate, and differentiated instructional techniques and strategies.
  • Create a safe and trusting classroom environment that is gender responsive, trauma informed, and strength-based.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of behavior to support an environment that is conducive for learning.
• Progress Monitoring and Outcomes Measurement
  • Develop, monitor, and update Performance Monitoring Plan learning goals, standards, and expectations in collaboration with the girls.
  • Promote confidence, perseverance, and responsibility in the students for their achievement of personal academic goals.
  • Be knowledgeable about state of Florida graduation requirements and promote college readiness.
  • Utilize data to assess girls' progress and academic growth, and document girls' progress into Pace.
  • Work collaboratively with center colleagues to accomplish student, center, and school district goals.
• Additional Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must adhere to the Pace Center for Girls Values and Guiding Principles and uphold the ethical standards of the Agency.
  • Follows mission, values, and principles, policies, and procedures of the Pace Center for Girls.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements.
  • Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel.
