The Lamination Operator plays a crucial role in operating the lamination presses, a process that fuses collated books into a single sheet through the application of heat and pressure.

Hourly rate - $20.25

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

Key Duties:
Interprets shop floor routers and workmanship manuals along with relevant specifications.

Accurately loads sheets into lamination books, ensuring proper mag tape registration and removing any nonconforming materials for rework or disposal.

Maintains cleanliness of plates to prevent sheet contamination as part of routine maintenance.

Qualifications:


Requirements:


High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and understand simple instructions (both written and verbal) in English. Capable of writing basic reports and effectively presenting information in small group settings.

Proficient in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Capable of calculating rates, ratios, and percentages.

Must prioritize security and safety.

Reliability is essential, demonstrated through good attendance, punctuality, and teamwork.

Must be able to stand for extended periods without sitting.

Basic English communication skills are necessary.

Physical

Requirements:


Work is primarily conducted in a standing position and involves walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

The environment is noisy and may require ear protection.

Good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and normal color vision are necessary to ensure product quality and maintain safety.

Work involves full use of hands/fingers to operate precision or semi-precision equipment, tools, or instruments requiring dexterous hand movements.

Attention to fine detail is essential, which can be mentally and physically demanding.

Work with rapidly moving machinery may require quick adjustments to minimize waste and time.

Shifts may require overtime to meet production deadlines.
