Metal Fabrication Specialist

Prolink is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating metal equipment, including CNC press brakes and related machinery. The successful applicant will be responsible for manufacturing sheet metal products according to work orders and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe manner, utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Set up and operate equipment to form sheet metal according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Verify parts meet requirements through standard inspection practices.
- Maintain machinery through total productive maintenance (TPM) practices.
- Maintain documentation as required.
- Repair damaged sheet metal if cost-effective.
- Rework sheet metal to latest revisions, variances, or engineering changes if cost-effective.
- Comply with company performance and conduct policies.
- Maintain regular work attendance.
- Start, stop, and set up press brake machines in a safe manner.
- Maintain 6S standards in all work stations.
- Run secondary machines as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of blueprint reading.
- Tool selection based on part being manufactured.
- Calculating flat sizes using material bend allowance.
- Basic math skills (ex. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fraction decimal equivalents).
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical inclination.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal and written communication.
- Persistence when faced with problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
- Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional heavy lifting, and pushing/pulling 10 lbs. regularly.
- Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8-10 hours a day.
- Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, and benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
