Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Sales Service Technician to join our team at Service Champions/JW, a leading residential plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, and promoting our company's services to homeowners in the Los Angeles area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain air conditioning systems, furnaces, coils, and compressors
  • Provide detailed explanations of work performed and recommendations for repairs or replacement to clients
  • Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
  • Perform routine maintenance on residential HVAC and heating equipment
  • Meet sales goals and metrics
  • Additional responsibilities as needed determined by the HVAC Operations Manager
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Experience in setting units
  • Hands-on experience in brazing, zoning, mini splits, and e-pumps
  • Experience with overall operations of the HVAC and heating systems as a whole
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of integrity and promote a positive company image
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions

Physical Demands
  • The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain
  • Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time
  • Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain
  • Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms)
