We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide clinical nursing support to our medical group in Franklin, Tennessee. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for communicating with patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a medical office environment and be proficient in the use of glucometers, BP cuffs, thermometers, computers, stethoscopes, audio scopes, business phones, and various oral and injectable medications. The selected LPN will work in an office environment, where they must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs
  • Give patients immunizations and injections as appropriate
  • Counsel patients on health-related issues
  • Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
  • Coordinate referrals and consultations to other medical services
  • Perform phlebotomy for outpatient clinics
  • Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages
  • Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing
  • Assist physicians with med/surg procedures
  • Process physician orders for patient lab tests
  • Maintain quality assurance for office labs
  • Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine
Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office environment
Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum
