The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care-teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify patient needs
- Round checks and medication administration, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Communicate effectively with family members, providing updates and addressing concerns
- Oversee the overall care of patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- RN License
- BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire
