Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Transitional Care Unit

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Transitional Care Unit team at Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

About the Role

This 10-bed nursing unit provides a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work with multiple patients requiring a variety of care needs. Your goal will be to diagnose, monitor, and treat patients within 36 hours, utilizing your skills and expertise to make a meaningful impact on their care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing the needs of each patient and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • A current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
