Saputo is a leading dairy processor seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to oversee maintenance and capital projects at our facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment, utilities, and buildings.
Job SummaryThis is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $85,000-$110,000 based on industry standards for this location. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the dairy, food, or beverage industry.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Maintenance Team Leader who can lead and follow safety policies and procedures, as well as ensure compliance with sanitation and quality policies. You will supervise both maintenance and capital projects, utilizing your mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems, utilities, and facilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance planning software, such as SAP, is required.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with plant engineers, maintenance managers, and facility management to optimize equipment utilization and improve employee safety, production quality, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Supervise maintenance and capital projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including incident reports and investigations.
- Stay up-to-date with latest industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering)
- At least five years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in the dairy, food, or beverage industry
- Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, and packaging equipment
- Ability to read electrical schematics, understand ladder logic, and calculate basic mathematical equations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance planning software (SAP preferred)
