Radiologic Imaging Specialist - Per Diem

The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will perform a variety of MRI examinations, including Interventional MRI, while adhering to strict MR safety protocols. This role requires delivering outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues, with a strong focus on quality care. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and possess the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.


Responsibilities include covering multiple MRI locations as needed, with shifts typically scheduled Monday through Friday during evening hours. Participation in an on-call rotation may also be required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all necessary procedures for MRI exams, including documentation of patient history, technical information, contrast details, and IV injection records.
  • Adhere to all MRI safety protocols consistently for both staff and patients.
  • Follow patient identification policies meticulously, including proper labeling of syringes with relevant details.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in departmental procedures by setting acquisition parameters for optimal imaging quality and accurately following physician directives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and process supply orders through the computer system.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences. ARRT Certification in MRI is required.
  • Licensure: Must hold ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and a valid state license. An enhanced state license for injections is also required by the end of the introductory period.
  • Experience: Preference for candidates with two years of experience, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to varying workloads.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing MRI studies. Capability to transport MRI equipment throughout the facility for patient testing.
