We are looking for a seasoned professional to spearhead the growth of our C-Corporation Compliance and Tax Provision services.

This role involves managing various aspects of tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and accounting for income taxes associated with CFGI's clientele.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with various business units, service providers, and tax experts to fulfill their duties.

Initially, tax-related tasks are not anticipated to occupy the entirety of the executive's time for project oversight and billable work, as they will also engage in additional responsibilities including:

Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting and interviewing new tax professionals to work under their guidance.

Engaging in business development efforts, fostering relationships with accounting partners at CFGI.

Identifying new revenue opportunities within our client base.

Reconciling deferred tax assets and liabilities for clients.

Addressing state tax inquiries and audits, collaborating with other tax departments and subject matter experts as necessary.

Reviewing and approving complex federal and state tax returns for clients as a paid preparer.

Staying informed on state and federal tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients.

Building and managing a team of tax professionals.

Maintaining and nurturing multiple client relationships and engagements.

Creating comprehensive engagement budgets.

Consistently achieving CFGI's chargeable hour targets.

Overseeing billing and realization for assigned clients and clarifying any discrepancies.

Communicating effectively with clients and team members.

Leading practice development initiatives in collaboration with senior management.

Delivering information clearly and addressing inquiries from clients and team members.

Mentoring junior staff members.

Traveling as required for business purposes.

Establishing strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Understanding the dynamics of "running your own business" as part of the CFGI team.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA and/or MBA or Master's in Tax is preferred.

A minimum of twelve years of relevant tax experience is preferred.

Experience in tax and GAAP accounting is required.

Extensive tax consulting experience and knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Exceptional analytical, supervisory, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proven integrity, accountability, flexibility, adaptability, and a readiness to accept coaching.

Leadership qualities including sound judgment, initiative, innovative thinking, and strategic planning.
