Position Overview:

Title: Quality Control Analyst
Location: Marion, NC
Duration: 12 Months

Work Schedule:

Confirmed 12-hour shifts:
Day: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
2-2-3 rotation: 2 days on, 2 off, 3 on, followed by 2 off, 2 on, and 3 off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Quality Control analyses in accordance with client specifications, test methods, and regulatory guidelines to support production processes.
  • Utilize analytical expertise, including HPLC and related techniques, to perform analytical testing and method development.
  • Be prepared to work evenings and weekends as necessary for laboratory tasks.
  • Document and communicate findings effectively, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform analyses in compliance with specifications, SOPs, and regulatory requirements, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct instrumental analysis using techniques such as HPLC, Atomic Absorption, and ICP-MS.
  • Prepare and submit accurate laboratory reports and maintain proper laboratory practices.
  • Analyze complaint and stability samples promptly, reporting any quality issues to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field is required; an Associate's Degree may be considered with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in analytical chemistry is required.
  • Proficiency in laboratory data systems and computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong mathematical reasoning and the ability to interpret various units of measure.
