Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team and play a vital role in the efficient handling of fresh produce within our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the proper storage and rotation of incoming products, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and accurately put away all inbound produce shipments, adhering to strict FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to maintain product freshness.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment, such as stand-up forklifts and riding pallet jacks, with proficiency and safety.
  • Maintain organized and well-stocked selection slots, ensuring pallets are free from debris and empty pallets are promptly removed.
  • Contribute to a clean and sanitary work environment by adhering to established sanitation protocols.
  • Accurately account for received products through proper documentation and inventory management procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless workflow and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of six months of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to operate stand-up forklifts and riding pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of fresh produce handling and storage practices is beneficial.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, squat, turn the body, and walk. You must be able to lift and move cases weighing up to 75 lbs continuously, performing tasks at various heights. The role also involves using hands and fingers for labeling, handling objects, and operating equipment controls.

Work Environment:

The work environment may involve confined spaces and exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season.
