Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Palliative Care team. As a Palliative Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with complex medical needs, including those with terminal illnesses and end-of-life care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical and psychosocial needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on disease management, symptom control, and end-of-life care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and valid nursing license.
- BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
- Experience in palliative care or a related field is preferred.
