Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and will work closely with our suppliers and customers to identify and resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.
  • Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Support supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities.
  • Participate in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports.
  • Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters.
  • Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Capable of performing root cause analysis (such as troubleshooting) and identifying solutions to complex problems.
  • Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Skills
  • An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding of engineering requirements.
  • Ability to read documentation and effectively identify deficiencies and contribute to correction actions.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
  • Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
