Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Geisinger St. Luke's working weekend shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
About the Role- Perform MRI examinations on patients based on department procedures and under the direction of the Section Chief and Manager.
- Communicate with radiologists to present clinical history and observations made during MRI examinations.
- Demonstrate competency in venipuncture skills for contrast administration during MRI studies.
- Assist in gathering and recording data, and participate in the Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
This role requires a significant degree of judgment in the performance of assigned duties.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an ARRT recognized education program or ARRT registered or registry eligible.
- Advanced MRI registry required within one year of hire.
- TWO years experience as a staff technologist preferred, with one year experience as an MRI technologist preferred.
- History of computer usage experience required, along with current CPR certification.
This role involves frequent use of fingers and hands to operate equipment, sitting for up to five hours, standing and walking for up to three hours, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients up to 400 pounds with assistance, occasional stooping, lifting, and raising arms above shoulder level, lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds, hearing for normal conversation, seeing for normal vision, and no metal implants or pacemaker.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
