As a vital member of our team in the role of Equipment Maintenance Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the upkeep of mill machinery while managing the assigned maintenance team to deliver exceptional service and uphold a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and address safety, environmental, quality, and production challenges as they emerge.
  • Guide, train, and support maintenance staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a mindset of continuous improvement, steering team efforts towards achieving reliability, productivity, and quality goals.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and effectively plan maintenance schedules.
  • Develop and sustain robust preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives.
  • Investigate root causes of issues and implement corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Utilize effective troubleshooting techniques to minimize downtime during maintenance events.
  • Work alongside management to strategize equipment or technological upgrades.
  • Leverage computer-based systems to prioritize maintenance requests, manage inventory, and allocate resources efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical discipline such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial setting focused on reliability, engineering, or supervisory roles.
  • Consideration for candidates with 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in promoting safety performance.
  • Expertise in the development and execution of mechanical, electrical, and control maintenance strategies.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, including CMMS systems.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and MS Office suite.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CRL, CMRP, or Lubrication certifications) are advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical skills, along with planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on interpersonal interactions.
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles.
  • Commitment to a strong work ethic, including flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays.
