Portfolio Oversight Expert

The Credit Risk Officer II reports to the VP, Credit Risk Officer III and is responsible for assisting in the management of the loan portfolio, focusing on construction loans. This role works with the Credit Risk Management team, management, lenders, and Operations team members to adjudicate and service the existing construction-related loan portfolio, comprised of real estate construction loans, pre-development loans, tax credit bridge loans, and solar construction loans.

Responsibilities include:

• Construction Loan Management: Pre-closing review, ongoing disbursements, and project tracking.
• Appraisal and Environmental Management: Ordering and reviewing appraisals and environmental reports.
• Loan Approvals: Working with lending officers on structuring new loan requests.
• Special Assets: Managing loans in the Special Asset portfolio.
• Compliance: Ensuring knowledge and compliance with the organization's Credit Policy and regulatory standards.

Required skills and qualifications include:

• A minimum of 5-7 years relevant work experience in a credit risk management function, including commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in construction loan management, appraisal review, and federal regulations governing appraisal management.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in environmental studies review.
• Ability to apply previous banking experience and knowledge to a unique business model.

Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools, excellent Word, Excel, and Windows file management skills, strong technical experience, demonstrated web research skills, and extensive computer usage and Microsoft Teams communication are also required.
