Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Sergeant to join our team at the North Carolina State Government. As a key member of our facility operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining facility security and supervising offender activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain facility security through regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as distress codes, escapes, and transportation of offenders.
  • Supervise searches of offenders, offender living areas, and work areas for contraband.
  • Ensure the safety and security of offenders, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a correctional setting preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
