As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support in the areas of cyber analysis and cyber development capabilities in response to Navy's and DoD's needs for Cyber Situational Awareness (SA), Cyber Command and Control (C2), Mission Assurance, and Homeland Defense.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures for optimal performance
  • Perform daily checks of database services and systems to ensure availability
  • Monitor database management systems for health in terms of resources such as memory and CPU usage
  • Assist software developers with query design and tuning
  • Perform Extraction, Transacting and Loading (ETL) of data as necessary
  • Diagnose and resolve database management systems in times of reduction of service or failure
  • Consult with system architects and software developers on database object design (tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, indices, etc.)
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain any database jobs that are necessary to maintain the health of the database server(s)
  • Ensure that database server (and individual database) settings are appropriate
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship and Active or Interim DoD TOP SECRET clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ Certificate
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree (Or experience commensurate with the qualifications)
  • Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role
  • Well-versed in the use of relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Minimum Seven (7) years' experience in Relational database design, Database administration, and/or Database server install and administration
  • Adept at troubleshooting issues related to database servers including performance, connections, server failures and more
  • Critical thinker and a team player, time-management skills and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Windows and Linux operating systems
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the following tools: SQL Server configuration and performance tuning
  • Microsoft SQL Database Administration and SQL development
  • Transact SQL
  • PowerShell
  • Scripting
  • Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
  • Experience working with DoD customers
  • Experience working on cybersecurity projects
