Job Summary

Cushing Academy seeks a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Health Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to students and collaborate with allied healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional healthcare to students, including triage, assessment, and treatment
  • Coordinate continued healthcare with allied healthcare professionals
  • Apply nursing theory and best practices to meet the needs of students with and without special needs
  • Contribute to the education of students through continuous assessment, planning, and evaluation of care
  • Use effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and fellow professionals
  • Maintain a comprehensive school health program and promote quality care
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Massachusetts
  • Current BLS certification with annual updates
  • Experience in triage and outpatient healthcare settings
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and professionals
  • Keen analytical skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical experience in adolescent health
