Job SummaryThis position performs nuclear medicine exams to provide high-quality images of organs, evaluate body functions, and analyze biological specimens to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, administering radioactive isotopes, and ensuring technical quality of images.
- Enter and monitor patient data, perform quality assurance on imaging equipment, and identify/report accidents or equipment malfunctions.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
- Promote individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
