Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager or Service Location Manager

Supervises: None

Objective:

The primary role involves operating vehicles to deliver equipment for the dealership. This position may also include providing customers with basic instructions on how to operate the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transports equipment to and from customers and dealer facilities; may also involve picking up new equipment from a manufacturing site.
  • Assists the sales team by delivering equipment as required.
  • Maintains an organized yard and performs maintenance tasks when not engaged in deliveries.
  • Keeps accurate records of pickups and deliveries, ensuring all necessary signatures and receipts are obtained.
  • Adheres to all required certifications in accordance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Records all time and distance traveled while executing assigned duties.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of assigned trucks and related equipment.
  • May provide customers with basic operational guidance on equipment as needed.
  • Completes other related tasks as directed by the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a semi-trailer truck operator.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory. (CDL License is advantageous but not essential.)
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. consistently.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience is required.
