Position Overview:
The Senior Radiologic Technologist, specializing in CT imaging, operates under the guidance of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, collaborating closely with the manager and Radiologist to execute technical procedures while ensuring optimal patient care and clinical evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizes advanced imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Adheres to radiation safety protocols as mandated by New York State Department of Health regulations.
  • Engages in continuous professional development, adapting to technological advancements and fostering a supportive learning environment for peers.
  • Maintains high standards of imaging proficiency in the designated modality.
  • Assumes leadership responsibilities when designated by the Manager or Senior Technologist; may take on additional tasks as required.
  • Mentors and trains new staff and students, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Collaborates with Physicians to assist in various procedural aspects within the assigned area.
  • Participates in on-call duties and rotates through the main department and satellite locations.
  • Ensures accurate data entry into computer systems and performs quality assurance checks on images and patient information prior to submission to PACS.
  • Administers contrast material and obtains peripheral IV access as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required
  • Completion of a Vocational School Diploma from an accredited one-year AMA Radiologic Technology program - required
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience - required
  • Demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate patient care.
  • ARRT certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - required
  • NYS DOH Diagnostic license - required

Salary Range:
$28.99/hr - $51.61/hr
