Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at CareRing Health, LLC. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide professional occupational therapy services to clients in accordance with regulatory guidelines and licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, coordinate, and delegate occupational therapy care and practice to meet the healthcare needs of clients, their families, and the community.
  • Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the home.
  • Guide clients in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve function.
  • Provide sensory or perceptual motor training when needed.
  • Provide splints or other special equipment to improve physical functioning, prevent deformities, and increase independence.
  • Instruct clients, family members, and other health team personnel in the client's occupational therapy program.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and client activities and responses according to regulations and Agency policies.
  • Participate in case conferences and discharge planning.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Occupational Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides.

Requirements:

  • Holds a current Occupational Therapy License in Virginia.
  • Has graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum jointly accredited by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association, or eligibility for the national Registration Examination of the American Occupation Therapy Association; Public Health Service.
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Prefer one-year home health experience.
  • Is able to function with minimal supervision.
  • Is able to manage multiple projects/changing priorities.
