Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Associate to join our team at Laura Yeager Smith Home & Design LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Procurement and Showroom Departments in receiving, maintaining, and selling inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Lead, Showroom Lead, and Project Managers to ensure accurate and efficient production of specification documentation, pricing, and proposing.

  • Meet or exceed multiple simultaneous deadlines with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

  • Support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers by preparing for and closing out installations, staging, and preparing goods from the studio and showroom.

  • Maintain installation supplies and process deliveries of inventory and client goods.

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory in Lightspeed and PowerPoint.

  • Manage customer, client, and trade experience, and initiate increases in sales across all channels.

  • Support the Principal and Operations Director in marketing efforts and initiate, organize, and promote special events.

  • Visual Merchandising of Smiths Curated to maintain company standards and implement the Principal's vision.

  • Maintain the sales floor, POS, and all aspects inside and outside the showroom.

Requirements

  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

  • Strong negotiation skills and an understanding of market dynamics to optimize procurement strategies and drive cost efficiencies.

  • Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in procurement software and tools.

  • Deep understanding of supply chain management principles and effective, professional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Embody the company Core Values, work within a team environment, respect and support the company and the team, hold a positive attitude and solution-focused mentality, and maintain business professional language, demeanor, and attire.
