Job Title: Phlebotomist - Flex/PRN/Casual - Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital - Rotation

Location: Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Per Diem

Work Type: Part time

As a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collecting high-quality blood specimens in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Venipunctures and Skin Punctures: Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens according to Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines.
  2. Specimen Accessioning: Accurately accession specimens and ensure positive identification of the specimens.
  3. Discrepancies Resolution: Recognize and resolve discrepancies as specimen suitability and acceptability.

Requirements:
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • Graduate of NAACLS approved Phlebotomy program
  • One year of related experience
