Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Unit Manager to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for leading and directing the overall operations of an assigned nursing unit. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that patient care delivery is consistent with our mission, vision, values, and policies, as well as meeting state and federal regulations and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, guide, and direct the overall operations, coordination, and direction of nursing and patient care for an assigned nursing unit.
  • Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on assigned nursing units.
  • Manage human resources in assigned units, including recruiting and orientating staff, assessing work performance, and implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
