Substance Use Counselor Position

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Use Counselor to provide individualized care to patients struggling with opioid addiction.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluation interviews to determine service eligibility
- Develop and review treatment plans with each patient to ensure a personalized approach
- Complete bio-psychosocial assessments to understand each patient's unique needs and circumstances
- Provide individual and group counseling services to support patients in their recovery journey
- Involve families and significant others in patients' recovery process whenever possible
- Respond to patient grievances and complaints in a timely and compassionate manner
- Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans to ensure a smooth transition for patients
- Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 3+ years of individual counseling experience or a Master's Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 2 years individual counseling experience
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus
- We are open to hiring individuals with LADC I or LADC II certification and a minimum of 2 years of substance abuse counseling experience, whether they hold an Associates or High School diploma
- Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
