Casting Technician

Pioneer Motor Bearing Company is seeking an experienced Casting Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our manufacturing process, you will be responsible for applying babbitt to raw materials using various methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and disassemble fluid film bearings
- Perform grit blasting and setup spin casting equipment
- Apply molten babbitt using static or spin casting methods
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual with ability to follow processes
- Working knowledge of foundry or casting room equipment and tools
- Basic understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
- Tig welding and fabrication knowledge
- Acetylene torch operation and knowledge of furnaces and melting pots
- Overhead crane operation and experience working with routings, drawings, and process sheets
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements:
- Indoor casting foundry environment with hot work
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Stoop, bend, crawl, reach, stand, and walk frequently
- Must be able to read, write, speak, hear, concentrate, and comprehend complex data
