We are a consolidated city-county government. We have an elected Chief Executive that leads the Executive Branch, along with twelve elected Council of Commissioners that represent each of our geographical districts. We are located in the heart of scenic Southwest Montana.

Butte was established as a mining camp in the 1860's and quickly became the nation's biggest supplier of copper. Our headframes still dot the landscape, a reminder of what made us who we are. Our nickname is 'Butte America,' but we also go by, 'The Richest Hill on Earth.' Immigrants from Ireland, China, Lebanon, Austria, Greece, Italy, Mexico, and numerous other countries came to Butte to work in the mines, they came to Butte, America.


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of information systems and have experience in analyzing and solving complex technical problems.

This role will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to identify their information technology needs, develop solutions, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with department heads and employees to understand their information systems requirements and challenges.
  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Develop and implement solutions to address identified needs, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest information technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with several years of experience working as an Information Systems Analyst.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
