We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team at Urban Farmer, a sophisticated Farmer-to-Table steakhouse located in the heart of Portland. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare pastry items of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
- Inventory Management: Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up.
- Food Safety: Date all food containers and rotate as per the SOP, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
- Team Collaboration: Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss, and usage per SOP.
- Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum one year food service or related work.
- Skills: Ability to work as a team member and communicate with kitchen staff.
