Job Overview

Cook Group seeks a skilled Medical Device Packaging Specialist to design and develop medical device packaging solutions that meet company, customer, and industry standards. This role is ideal for an experienced packaging professional who can apply packaging design principles to develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop medical device packaging solutions that meet regulatory compliance and quality standards.
  • Work with suppliers to source and acquire packaging materials that meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate distribution simulation and packaging testing to ensure product safety and efficacy.
  • Develop and maintain departmental standards in packaging design and development.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, managing tight timelines and critical deliverables.
  • Maintain equipment and packaging designs compliant with company quality system.
  • Perform verification and validation testing of packaging designs and manufacturing methods.
  • Write and maintain documentation per company quality system.
  • Evaluate issues with existing packaging and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the global organization.

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science, or closely related field, or Master of Science in Packaging Science with 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with medical packaging materials, including Tyvek, PE/PET films, PETG trays, and environmental and regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions:
  • Works under general office environmental conditions.
  • Uses standard computer equipment.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, or hear.
