Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Yard Technician to join our team at EquipmentShare. As a Yard Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our rental facility, ensuring that our equipment is in top condition and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect and report equipment condition before and after usage, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Inventory Management: Document incoming and outgoing equipment, maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all equipment is properly stored and secured.
  • Yard and Shop Maintenance: Assist with routine inspections, repairs, maintenance, and equipment cleaning, ensuring that the yard and shop areas are clean and safe.
  • Equipment Loading and Unloading: Demonstrate, load, and unload equipment, ensuring that all equipment is properly secured and transported.
  • Inventory System Management: Maintain equipment inventory systems according to standard operating procedures, ensuring that all equipment is properly tracked and accounted for.
  • General Yard and Shop Cleanup: Serve as responsible for general yard and shop cleanup in accordance with company standards, ensuring that all areas are clean and safe.
  • Safety and Hazard Prevention: Maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace, identifying and reporting any potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • Culture and Customer Experience: Serve as an advocate for EquipmentShare's culture and uphold our high standards of customer experience, ensuring that all interactions with customers are positive and professional.
Requirements
  • Safety Training and PPE: Safety training required and PPE required when applicable.
  • Lifting and Physical Demands: Occasional lifting may be required, up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements
  • Extreme Temperatures: Must be able to be outside during extreme temperatures.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and stoop.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Drug Screen: This is a safety-sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.
