Per Diem Registered Nurse

We are seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Per Diem RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, quality patient care using the nursing process and document accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with all NMHS policies and requirements as directed by the Nurse Manager and Educator.
- Provide patient/family education and act as a resource for existing staff and new employees.
- Maintain communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care to the patient.
- Attend daily huddles on each unit to ensure proper assignments and identify team members for the shift.
- Project a caring, friendly, and helpful image to patients and other customers.
- Comply with NMHS behavioral standards.
- Maintain competency by staying informed of changing trends in the nursing practice.
- Attend annual review and unit specifics within the department.
- Perform required continuing education hours online and in classroom.
- Comply with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
- Licensed by the board of Nursing for the state.
- Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- ACLS certification (dependent on hiring department).
- TB certification (dependent on hiring department).
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (dependent on hiring department).
- ASLS Certified for Emergency Room.
- NIH - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (dependent on hiring department).
