Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy to an identified caseload of children and youth in group homes
  • Counsel individuals and/or families related to psychological or emotional stressors such as substance abuse, self-regulation, or family settings
  • Assist children and youth to develop skills as defined by permanency and treatment goals
  • Provide emotional and behavioral support and therapy focused on healing and permanence
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each client
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit (clinical hours provided for MHC-LP only), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Master of Social Work (LCSW) and Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
  • Preferred two (2) years work experience providing clinical services in a mental health or residential setting for youth and children
  • Experience working with youth and children exposed to trauma
  • Ability to speak multiple languages preferred
  • Fluency in computer software applications required, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Clean New York State Driver's License preferred
  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing preferred
