Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team at Johns Hopkins University. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including performing comprehensive histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and initiating IV therapy.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Assume responsibility for the conduct of EM-sponsored clinical trials, including regulatory issues, recruitment, and good clinical practice.
  • Participate in the interviewing process of clinical staff and make hiring recommendations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Certification by the NCCPA or similar national certifying body.
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-certified Physician Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a related clinical area, with proficiency in the area of specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Experience in Emergency Medicine.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR certification.
Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate will be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, with the ability to move standard equipment through a hospital or clinical environment.
