The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Technician II to join our team. This role will be responsible for installing, decommissioning, and troubleshooting network equipment and circuits, including fiber, transport equipment, and critical infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and mechanical background, with experience in installation, test, and turn-up of various telecommunications equipment, including SONET, DCS, DWDM, routers, and switches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test network and customer equipment, including installation and delivery of all end-user services.
  • Troubleshoot network equipment, remove/replace defective equipment, and work with resources to isolate and restore network.
  • Proactively identify potential problem areas to ensure network integrity and company standards.
  • Assist other personnel to complete these activities when needed.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience working with installation, test, and turn-up of telecommunications equipment.
  • Strong technical and mechanical background, with experience in latest generation transport gear, critical infrastructure, and fiber optic cable locating.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

We offer a competitive salary range of $46,313 - $61,750, depending on location. This position is eligible for short-term incentives and long-term incentives. To learn more about our bonus structure, please visit our website.
