Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Purification Technician II/III to join our team at Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing fundamental tasks within a GMP environment, including cleaning and maintaining the workplace, operating production equipment, and maintaining records/logs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general housekeeping in compliance with high standards required of a pharmaceutical operation.
  • Operate production equipment, including centrifuges, ultrafiltration units, columns, autoclaves, pasteurizers, and spectrophotometers.
  • Assemble, disassemble, clean, and sterilize production equipment.
  • Perform bulk processing and filtration involving processing parameters, such as pH, weights, and suspension.
  • Prepare buffer solutions and store process intermediates.
  • Perform real-time documentation during production runs and maintain accurate records/logs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bioworks Certificate or 1 year production manufacturing experience in a regulated industry within the past 5 years.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 months as a Technician in the respective department before receiving consideration for advancement.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with rotating shifts. Exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical manufacturing equipment, hand tools, and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment required, including protective eyewear, safety shoes, gloves, and garments.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
  • Frequent foot movement and moderate lifting and carrying of 15-44lbs.
  • Occasional heavy lifting and carrying of 45lbs with a maximum lift of 50lbs.
