Job Summary

Transcat is seeking a skilled Calibration Technician I to join our team. As a Calibration Technician I, you will be responsible for calibrating low-end process instrumentation in up to three disciplines, including Electrical, Dimensional, and Pressure. You will work with other technicians to learn calibration fundamentals and maintain calibration standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with other technicians to learn calibration fundamentals and maintain calibration standards
• Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
• Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site
• Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards

Requirements

• Associates degree from college or technical school; or at least one (1) year related experience and/or training
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
• Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
• Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
• Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
• Familiarity with basic hand tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Organizational and time management skills
• Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
