Job Title: Power Generation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Technician to join our team at Cummins. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components at customer sites with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators and components at customer sites.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets and timesheets.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
Requirements:
  • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
  • Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision.
  • Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for a diesel technician at this location.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
Education, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (Preferred).
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Current relevant electrical certification.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

This position will require a Med-Card and a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations. A current valid license is required for this role. The role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use. Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older.
